- 3 quart oven safe baking dish
Ingredients
- 1 package Plain Biscuits By Daddy-O Biscuit mix
- 1 cup white sugar split
- 2 tbsp Cinnamon or cake spice blend I use our cake spice blend that is sold at some Farms Markets in Iowa
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1½ sticks Butter
Instructions
- Pre Heat oven to 350 ° F
- spay baking dish with a light layer of cooking spray
- in a medium size bowl mix biscuit mix by the instructions on the package
- is a small bowl mix ¾ cup of the white sugar and 1 ½ tbsp
- pull off small pieces of biscuit dough and make small rough balls about ¾ of an inch. roll these in the cinnamon sugar mix and place in the baking dish repeat until all the dough is used
- sprinkle the balance of the cinnamon sugar mix over the top and set aside.
- in a 2 quart sauce pan mix remaining white and brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon and cook to a boil
- Pour sauce of the top of the baking dish
- bake for about 40 minutes (ovens may vary)
- remove from oven when to is slightly golden brown and breaking open a biscuit pieces shows that it is cooked
- let rest for 10 mintues before enjoying
