Is this an authentic Italian meat sauce? The truth is I have no idea, but it tastes really good.

Ingredients
- 32 oz diced sweet onion
- 24 oz bell pepper I use yellow, green, red, and orange
- 4 oz minced garlic
- 1 oz salt
- 64 oz italian sausage I used Fareway brand from the meat counter
- 48 oz 93% ground beef
- 1 oz orgeno turkishPenzy's
- 1 oz sweet basil Penzy's
- 1 oz rosemary Penzy's
- 1 oz tyme Penzy's
- 1 oz majoram Penzy's
- 4 oz white sugar
- 105 oz Tomato Sauce
- 102 oz diced tomatoes
- 18 oz tomato paste
Instructions
- In a large stock pot add olive oil, onions, peppers, garlic, and salt and cook over medium heat until soft
- Add sausage and pork, stir and brown mixing with onion mixture. Add salt, pepper, 1/2 of the oregano, basil, rosemary, tyme
- when browned add the balance of the spices as well as the tomato sauce, diced, paste and sugar
- stir well and bring to a boil
- reduce heat to simmer, cover and cook for about 2 hrs
